The Incite comes with five built-in games: Solitaire, Ms. Pac-Man, Sudoku, Block Breaker and Bubble Breaker. There's a MEdia Mall for shopping for games, music, graphics, ring tones, videos, multimedia and other applications. More music and videos available on the AT&T Music program, and the phone comes with Windows Media player and an integrated music player for enjoying new tunes, plus FM and XM satellite radio players.
Having access to satellite radio, songs and a few games is nice for a quick cab ride or short subway journey.
For those wishing to troll the Internet for more videos, the Incite has CV, an application that uses AT&T's high-speed data network to connect users to news, sports, weather and entertainment videos.
AT&T's MEdia Net application browses weather, news and downloads ringtones and multimedia, while the phone's browser connects to websites, plus downloads new files and programs from the Internet.
The Incite's entertainment options are enough to get by on, but nothing new or especially original is to be found here. And often making the most of the media package takes a bit of money.
AT&T's 3G Broadband Connect network powers the Incite's Internet capabilities, providing some of the fastest web surfing and email speeds available today. AT&T's 3G network spreads across more than 300 metropolitan areas in the United States and Incite users can find 3G capability in 60 countries abroad and find an Internet connection in 150 countries. The Incite is a definite asset for frequent international fliers.
Navigating the web on the Incite is simple and a jog wheel on the right side of the phone makes it easy to flip through the latest headlines before jetting into the boardroom, although it may be hard to read the fine print on the screen.
And if on the go leads to can't find where to go, download the GPS application AT&T Navigator onto the Incite for turn-by-turn instructions to any address. The phone monitors traffic on the route and alerts the driver when there's an accident or traffic build-up warranting a detour. Users can also map out their own preferred route and receive instructions from Navigator over the Incite's speakerphone if they can't watch the screen, which shows visual directions.
Users need a plan for Internet use on the phone or they will be charged for each time it is used.
With 70MB of storage built into the Incite and room to expand up to 16GB of memory with a microSD card, the Incite can practically double as a back-up computer with expanded memory. That's not a bad option, considering the phone has computer connectivity capability and stores and sends videos, photos, documents and songs.
The phone also stores up to 12 phone numbers plus email addresses for 99 contacts and one voicemail default and can hold a full music library with a memory card.
Although a memory card doesn't come with the phone, it's a good idea to purchase one to take this phone to its full potential. The Incite's internal memory significantly falls behind the newer BlackBerry Bold's 1GB and iPhone 3G's 8GB or 16GB of storage.
