huawei-google-android-phone-mwc-4-175x300 Huawei Secretive on its First Android-based PhoneBARCELONA, Spain - Huawei had announced that it will display its first Google Android-based smartphone at the Mobile World Congress. It is currently showcasing it, but behind closed glass.

The phone, which is yet unnamed, is somewhat similar to the Apple iPhone in design, but it has a blue line on the lateral parts. Frog Design is the company contracted for the designing process of the hardware and user interface in conjuction with Huawei.

"Huawei is delighted to showcase its much anticipated first Android-powered smart phone. As a terminal solutions provider with all-round capabilities, Huawei has an acute insight into the drivers of the communications industry and in-depth understanding of operators," said Mr. James Chen, Director of Huawei Terminal Marketing Department., "A pioneer in mobile broadband devices, we look forward to expanding a compelling mobile communications experience for end-users whilst providing customized services to our operator partners via the Android smart phone."

There is no information whatsoever on the specifications, or regional availability at the moment.
