samsung_sgh-i8510-innov8-190x300 Samsung INNOV8 i8510 hands-onThe first 8 megapixel camera-phone from Samsung was handled at the New York launch by Mobile Burn's Ricky Cadden. Unfortunately we don't have any opinions or reviews for the phone yet, but they should be coming very soon.

Samsung's offices in South Africa already have the device, but it's at a very early software stage. I will go visit them one of these days and take comparison pictures for your enjoyment.

It's not only Samsung's first 8 megapixel camera-phone, but it's also the first Symbian and first S60 UI powered device to have such a camera sensor. The other highlights are the 16GB internal memory and built-in GPS. There is a 3.5mm jack, Bluetooth, WLAN, video recording at VGA resolution at 30fps.

More pictures available after the jump.
